BlushingForward YouTube Channel and Blog

Celebrating beauty, fashion, and lifestyle is a freedom we all enjoy. BlushingForward’s YouTube Channel and Blog are proud to be a part of that celebration.

The BlushingForward mission is to establish a valued voice and solid following in the beauty, fashion, and lifestyle online community.

The BlushingForward campaign is designed to expand the subscribers of BlushingForward’s YouTube Channel with the intent to reach a minimal goal of 1,000 subscribers and more than 10,000 views on YouTube by June 2018. This milestone would allow BlushingForward to achieve a business objective of monetization furthering the mission to solidify a presence in the beauty, fashion, and lifestyle online community. Monetization will also allow BlushingForward to build relationships with product brands providing her the time investment to create more content for followers/subscribers.

The specific objectives to achieve are

  • To reach 1,000 active YouTube subscribers and 10,000 views by June 2018.
  • To secure email addresses of visitors to the website as a point of contact for video and blog updates.
  • To determine the YouTube and blog topics that are most interesting to subscribers.

The strategies to meet the goals and objectives are

  • Develop a weekly schedule of production and posting of new YouTube videos.
  • Develop and implement a subscription offer on BlushingForward homepage.
  • Analyze number of content views and responses to determine topics that receive the most engagement. According to Sammy Albon of NikiNSammy YouTube channel with approximately 197k followers, the first step to success is the audience, “We are directly affected by whatever our audience says. …we’re always listening and adapting to what our audience wants” (Stars of YouTube Share Secrets of Success, 2015).

The tactics to meet the goals and objectives are

  • Consistent contact is key to the relationship with current and potential followers. A weekly schedule is needed to maintain the contact.
  • BlushingForward, as an entity, needs to commit to include an email subscribe option. As shared by Pamela Vaughan of Hubspot, “The key to growing blog traffic is actually to focus on growing subscribers” (Vaughan, 2017).
  • A report of YouTube views will allow BlushingFoward to determine the content that is most appealing to the current subscriber/follower base allowing Ms. Mielke to schedule these topics more often in her schedule.

The success of the campaign will be measured by focusing on the main goal of the campaign – reaching a minimal following of 1,000 subscribers and more than 10,000 views on YouTube by June 2018. The measuring is as follows

  • The subscriber base of BlushingForward YouTube channel has reached a benchmark of 4% of the initial goal.
  • The client – BlushingForward – has invested time to research Mailchimp.com (Build your brand. Sell more stuff, 2018) and is 80% invested to achieve the goal of implementing a subscribe option to secure email address on the webpage.
  • The content of the YouTube channel increased at the beginning of the campaign but did not maintain momentum due to an illness.

If the main goals are not met within the next month, strategies and tactics will be adjusted.
